What an amazing woman. I have not seen her since the 20th class reunion. I got to know her fairly well at LHS because I was always seated near her since our last names both begin with W, except in Holly's English class.
Diana and I were best friends during high school and college. After 4 years of college, we went to europe together with two friends. Then she went on to get her PhD and was a well known nematologist. I used to get cards from her when she was at the South Pole doing research. She was always in such good health so this is a shock. Such good memories.
So sad to see that Diana passed away. She was a good friend to me as the new kid on the block when I arrived at LHS late in our junior year. Diana was super friendly and smart, and always up for an adventure. RIP, Diana.
Diana and I were friends in high school. She was smart, interesting, and funny. After high school we went our separate ways. I followed her career and was so proud of knowing her. I remember when she decided on nematodes as her life's work I didn't know what a nematode was. I soon knew a lot. She was always in good health so this was an unpleasant shock. This class has suffered too many losses in a short time. Sorrow following sorrow. Stay healthy friends.
