Pat Smith was a very close friend of mine during my senior year at Lafayette and my first year in college. Pat was a very sweet, attractive, friendly, loving, caring, thoughtful, sincere and wonderful person. I was very fortunate to be able to date Pat and count her as a true friend. By not living in Kentucky and not knowing Pat's married name, I wasn't able. to catch up on what she had been doing. Having read the notice of her death and the comments of her family and friends, I know that she led a blessed and full life. She certainly deserved one.
I was saddened to see this posting. I looked back at the great number of former classmates and felt the awareness attached to how I could easily be numbered with them as I approach my 72ND birthday.
I am confident I will move..to heaven, whether in my body or after death. As we think of those who are gone...we can only hope to see them in a heavenly body with the Lord Jesus Christ.
